PASIPHAE was an immortal daughter of the sun-god Helios and the wife of King Minos of Crete.
She possessed the gift of sorcery, and she was a skilled practitioner of witchcraft.
The best-known myth involving Pasiphaë is her love affair with the beautiful white bull, which subsequently led to her giving birth to the monstrous creature, famously known as the Minotaur (half-bull, half-man creature).
Pasiphae changed her appearance: She was hidden within a hollow cow.
But it was a curse: It was Poseidon who cursed her to fall in love with the bull.
