DESCRIPTION

This work shows a friend of mine preparing to run a marathon. I took the picture while she was standing on the floor, focusing on what was coming.

She reminded me of someone praying. And I transferred the image into one of my series, dealing with the supernatural.

I removed her huge tattoos on the back and replaced them with two symbols: The star symbol is the symbol of Kali Yuga, which is still used in ancient sorcery. The lower symbol is a common sigil needed to summon an unholy power.

"Kali Yuga" means "the age of Kali", "the age of darkness", and "the age of vice and misery". In Hinduism, it is the fourth, shortest, and worst of the four yugas (world ages) in a Yuga cycle, which is full of conflict and sin.

The Ars Goetia assigns a rank and title of nobility to each member of the demonic hierarchy and gives the demons “personal signs” or seals.

Among the entities mentioned are Semitic gods and demons and those of several European pre-Christian religions.

Many, however, are also unknown and invented. Furthermore, no reference is made to an explicitly female entity.
