Calypso is a nymph and goddess of Greek mythology who only appears in the Odyssey and lives on the otherwise almost uninhabited island of Ogygia.
In 1883, the Swiss painter Arnold Böcklin painted Odysseus and Calypso.
Calypso loves the shipwrecked Odysseus for seven years by holding him close.
Later, Zeus orders her to release Odysseus, and she helps him.
The story also inspired me.
Another inspiration was Mick Jagger's song “Angel In My Heart” from his album “Wandering Spirit”, released in 1993.
